You can not alter the permissions to share samba.

I am running 18.04 LTS server. I have a samba resource mounted locally. It seems that I can not change the permission for its subfolders. It's in / mnt / samba / Plex and I can read / write well, just like Windows computers. But the subfolders thereafter (/ mnt / samba / Plex / Movies, etc.) are read only. in the smb.conf file everything is set to 0777, but that has not helped. I've also tried chmod -R 777, and that has not helped either. I'm a bit of a newbie in Linux and it's making me pull my hair.
