The fastest interactive representation (IPR) of all Arnold add-ons allows parameter changes to be seen quickly without interrupting your work.
Arnold Shading Network Editor, a publisher of node-based material.
A complete list of shaders and utilities, including vertex maps and materials per face.
Representation of the volume with OpenVDB.
Postponed, generation of processing time geometry with the Arnold procedure node.
Native linear workflow.
Team Render, including distributed single-frame rendering.
Support for third-party plugins such as X-Particles and Turbulence FD
System Requirements
In general, Arnold will work on almost any 64-bit system where Houdini, Maya, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Katana or Softimage work. However, there are some minimum requirements of the operating system:
OSX 10.8 or later
Windows 7 or later, with the Visual Studio 2015 redistributable
Linux with at least glibc 2.12 and libstdc ++ 3.4.13 (gcc 4.4.7). This is equivalent to RHEL / CentOS 6
The CPUs must support the SSE4.1 instruction set
