cdn – IllegalLocationConstraintException in CloudFront (with S3)

I created an S3 and loaded files into the cube successfully. Now, I'm trying to make it work with CloudFront, however, it's giving me

IllegalLocationConstraintException

The location restriction ap-east-1 is incompatible for the specific endpoint of the region to which this request was sent.

My url S3 is: http://my-bucket-name.s3.ap-east-1.amazonaws.com/assets/local/css/app.css (this gives me back the file)

CloudFront is linked to S3 and to the url: https://id.cloudfront.net/assets/local/css/app.css (this gives me the IllegalLocationConstraintException)

Scalable design to combine large S3 files and provide a public download link via email

I have several files in AWS S3 Bucket. According to a person's access, I need to create a ZIP file of several selected files and provide a public link to download it.

  1. I want to use a queue to put the requests that come and process one by
    one and once it is complete I want to send the link to download it.
  2. I want to save it in S3 Bucket and send a link once I clicked it.
    must be downloaded securely from the SpringBoot API rest. If not
    downloaded must be removed after the expiration time of a few days after
    creation.

I need to know What technologies should I use? Can I achieve this with AWS Lambda? Which I prefer to queue the tasks. If any alternative approach please suggest.

amazon aws: restricts access for cognito users to cloudfront files backed by s3

What is the simplest way to restrict access to the distributed files in front of the cloud that are stored in S3 for non-authenticated users through Cogito?

More precisely: I have files stored in S3 whose distribution I want to speed up a bit, so I'm using a cloud front distribution. Some of the files must be accessible only to users who are authenticated through cognito.

The web and the documentation seem to be full of comments on how to access cloudfront on third-party servers through signed urls and this sounds very heavy. However, my case is very simple. I want users to authenticate through cognito and then restrict their access to files hosted on S3. So far this seems manageable. However, as soon as Cloudfront enters the game, things seem incredibly difficult. Why?

Store the user's private files in S3 and ensure access through signed URLs, is it a good idea?

I will be storing the user's private files in S3. The files will be PDF files, possibly containing private financial information.

I am considering allowing users to directly access the files in S3, without sending all the traffic through my application server by proxy. How should I do that?

So far I am considering:

  • Signed URLs: what are the risks of the URL being "stolen"? I suppose HTTPS is a necessity, what else?
  • Signed cookies: is it better than signed URLs?

Is this the correct way to do it or should I use a completely different approach (maybe not S3)?

Usb on the go: the Samsung Galaxy tab S3 does not receive power from another cable and

The hard disk is recognized but power is not supplied to my tablet through the cable and.

I connect my samsung power cable into the micro usb female. The hard drive connects to the 3.0 female and im using a micro usb to USB adapter for the male micro usb end of the cable and, as shown in the videos.

Access control of AWS S3 resources through IAM permissions or deposit policies?

The way we create deposits in our organization and make sure that we have healthy ACLs around us is to provide an automated tool (which internally uses Terraform) to provision an S3 deposit. So say when a user requests a new group, called TestBucket we create a cube called TestBucket and also create an IAM user by name testBucket-user. Automation ensures that the testBucket-userThe policies are such that the only actions allowed for this user are:

"s3: ListBucket",
"s3: PutObject",
"s3: GetObject"

and the only allowed resource in which previous actions are allowed is the TestBucket bucket.

Similarly, automation also ensures that automation places deposit policies to ensure that the only actions allowed in it are the 3 previous actions, the only ones allowed and only by the user testBucket-user

However, upon request (and if the business justifies it), we make changes to the deposit policies created when necessary). So recently there was a requirement of this kind, in which a certain group needed to have a folder that was intended to contain all public images.

Now there were 2 options we had to meet the previous requirement:

  1. Modify the cube policy to allow principal:* for the folder in the cube, allowing all the objects in that folder in the cube to be public by default.
  2. Modify and give PutObjectACL Allow the IAM user who has access to that group and allow the developer to manage which objects in the folder may be public or not.

As a security team, we were more convinced of the first option just because it seemed more logical. The problem with the first option, however, was the fact that now any object (publicly intended or even otherwise) would be public by default.

I wonder what the community thinks around here. AWS / IAM experts, what would be your choice of the two options above?
