samba4 – Notepad ++ and Network Share (Samba, SMB) – A Problematic Relationship (constant file reloading)


This is an apparently unsolved problem… =( Frankly, I don’t know what can be done to resolve this situation. I have already searched in many forums what can be done, but this set with a network share (samba, SMB) and Notepad ++ is problematic. As I mentioned, the problem with constant file reloading – even if there are no changes to the file content – makes it impossible to use Notepad ++ reliably and, especially, the use of bookmarks. Note that other code editor do not have the same problem even using the same network share. I would love to know what can be done. I’ve tried everything regarding the configuration of Notepad ++ and Samba, but I haven’t been successful so far.


How can I make Notepad++ stop reloading files that are accessed via network share (samba, SMB) if there is no change in the content of these files?


I – A partial solution would be if I could make bookmarks persistent;
II – Realize that I cannot do without the detection of changes (with warning) in files, as I work with several open source editors at the same time and this is a very big risk for me.

Unity Prevent reloading of edited files packages

I had to make a change in the existing Universal Rendering Pipeline’s ShadowCaster2D.cs to suit my needs. But every time I reload the project, the file gets reset. How do I prevent this?

The file that I need to keep is found in the following path:

macos – How do I stop Google Chrome from reloading tabs that failed to load?

Whenever a tab fails to load (network error, DNS error, timeout error etc.), every time I switch to it Google Chrome tries to refresh it. This is extremely annoying.

I thought I had solved this issue before (and in fact I had) when I:

  • Disabled Automatic Tab Discarding. (So if you’re just here to post that as an answer, don’t.)
  • And disabled the automatic tab reloading (there was a flag for this)

But, now both of those flags seem to be missing. I’m not having discarding issues, but if a tab fails to load for any reason, Google Chrome will reload it every single time I switch to it.

I’ve searched chrome://flags for tab, discard, freeze, reload, etc. and can’t find anything related. I searched as far as I could on the Internet but the only things I can find are tutorials on how to turn off the tab discarding flag (which doesn’t exist anymore). Before posting here I searched on StackExchange, but still, every answer said to turn off tab discarding.

How do I stop the reloading?

Am I doing something wrong?

If the title wasn't clear enough (I really don't know how to explain it) I basically have an Audio Manager which is DontDestroyOnLoad. I also have a pause menu, which takes me back to the main menu, and in the main menu, I can reload the scene again. The problem is that reloading the scene creates multiple AudioManager copies in DontDestroyOnLoad, and I don't know how to solve it. php – Problem reloading a Google Maps API page

next.js: Zeit Now routing problem. 404 NOT FOUND when reloading pages other than the index page

I recently bought a Next.js template in Themeforest and tried to implement it in Zeit Now.

Everything is fine with the index page (the page in / path), I can reload it without any problem.

The problem arises when I tried to add a new page inside pages binder. For example /privacy-policy or /terms-of-service, …

If I navigate through these pages through a from the index page it works fine. But if I tried to reload these pages or send my users a direct link to them, they will not be able to access these pages. Instead, my users will see 404 NOT FOUND.

In my localhost development it works fine for all pages when reloaded. So I think the problem is with the Zeit Now configuration.
