User research: value of the "Last update" field on a web page

Currently, many sites or pages on social media only have a very limited lifespan, in contrast to the standard company or organization website that contains information that has a degree of variability in the time it remains (for example, About us versus news and events).

There are also websites that are required by law to provide "Last Updated" information (for example, government or statutory agencies), while others provide it to show how recent the content is, especially if it is not immediately obvious.

I realize that "Last update" is very similar to other fields like "Last modified" or "Last revision", and since they are not all clearly defined, I will limit the question to the general field seen at the bottom of the page to refer to the content of the entire page instead of a specific section of the page (usually seen at the top, as in the build version of applications).

Is there any study or research that shows how important this information is to users of sites that need to have this information, and how does this information add additional trust for users when they are not normally required?

seo: Google Search Console displays two different "Last Crawl" dates for the same URL. Which one is correct?

For the same URL (x):

Coverage> Indexed, not submitted on sitemap> Examples> URL x> Last crawl sample "March 29, 2020"

Inspect URL> URL x> Coverage> Last crawl sample "April 4, 2020 2:47:23 AM"

Which one is correct? That is, when was the last time googlebot crawled that URL?

How can I make the blogger Emporio theme show the "last modified date" of posts

I have the Emporio Blogger theme active in my blog, but I tried several methods to add the last modification date to all my posts, but none worked well. Is there anyone with a detailed tutorial on how to do this?

Thanks in advance!!!

How to delete the "last visited library"

One of my collaborators can no longer add images to a Sharepoint page. When they try to add an image, Sharepoint "helps them" when trying to open the last visited library, which was part of a now deleted site. How can I solve this problem?

"last activity" or "recent activity"

There is a table of company records in our application that shows the timestamp of the last successful login. We assume that this is the last known timestamp when a user (who belongs to a company presented in a table row) was active within that company. Then we call this column "Last asset."

But it is being discussed whether it should be called "Recent Activity" or "Last Activity" or anything else; and which solution is better with respect to the user experience (in this case, the user must understand the intention of the column)

macos – How to generate a list of Homebrew formulas / packages sorted by "last update" (by package provider)?

How can you generate a list of Homebrew all formulas / packages sorted by "most recently updated" (by package provider)?

I don't see that type / report at https://formulae.brew.sh/analytics. Maybe I missed something?

I can effectively generate some version of this report every time I run a brew update… but that only gives me the updated formulas since the last time brew updated-ed, I think? Instead, I want to visit a website or run a command line command (or some similar device) that shows me a reasonably updated report of the most recently updated formulas.

Similar but clearly different questions:

  1. List all Homebrew formulas?
  2. List the most popular Homebrew formulas (# 1)?
  3. List the most popular Homebrew formulas (# 2)?

"Last 30 days + today" in Google Analytics

Solution:

Create a PHP file on your own server, such as example.com/myanalytics/index.php (don't worry, it will only create a URL shortcut to anlaytics, so nobody can see it even if they visit this page):

gps – dumpsys location – List of "Last known locations" empty

When I execute this command to get the GPS position of my phone, the list of "Latest known locations:" is almost empty, even if GPS is enabled. When I restart the phone, it works for a few hours, but then it's empty again.

Is there a switch / command / configuration that needs to be checked to ensure that it works correctly?

Loyalty programs: Are "last minute" updates eligible for airline reward points?

Sometimes, when I check in for a flight online, I see that the operator offers an upgrade (for a better seat or class) for much less than what would be the normal rate.

In such cases, does the upgrade qualify for the usual loyalty points and the miles that would accrue if the ticket had been purchased in the usual manner?

If you make a difference, I would like to know about Air France / KLM.
