statistics – Link between web page load speed and percentage of people leaving the web page

I’m working on a research paper in the field of Website Preformance and I’ve found an article that claims that 57% of people leave websites that take longer than 3 seconds to load. This article cites no source for this claim but I imagine it was done in some sort of study.

Another claim is in this article which says 53% of mobile users will leave a webpage if it doesn’t load in 3 seconds. They link to a page of google but not directly to the data and the only 53% figure I found on that website is this.

Here is a third article claiming 1 in 4 people abandon a website that takes more than 4 seconds to load. I found this page with an image (claim is at the top right of the image) but not an actual study.

Are there any studies that make a link between loading times and percentage of people leaving the page? Does anyone know of a paper that might relate to this?

hard drive – Battery Percentage not increasing during plugged state, post ssd installation in Ubuntu 20.04.2

I have Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS installed on my laptop HP Notebook – 15-da0077tx.

Recently I installed Western Digital’s WD Green SATA SSD M.2 2280,240GB on my laptop, but the battery percentage doesn’t increase while the laptop is in use.

The battery percentage only increases when the laptop is plugged-in during a suspended state or is switched off.

Additional Information

  1. Before upgrading to SSD, I had a dual boot system supporting Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04. Post SSD installation,I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04.2 wiping out all the other OS in the system.
  2. Sometimes,the battery icon in the corner freezes to “Estimating” and doesn’t change,while other times it remains constant and displays the time left for full battery(also constant).
  3. The last point is entirely my speculation and may not entirely be true, but i think the underside of my laptop facing the battery is more warm compared to my pre-SSD laptop.

google analytics – Number (or percentage) of sessions visiting product pages n+ times

I’m trying to come up with a metric that shows percentage of sessions visiting the product details page 3 or more times. I’ve lost days because of the issues described here. But now, at least I know where I went wrong.
I got two facts I can use:

  • All my product pages have /products/ in the url, or
  • An event labeled Product Viewed is being fired when a user visits one of those pages.

I thought about using Unique Pageviews but metric doesn’t have a meaning in aggregate I believe. So far I couldn’t come up with a solution.

PS: Pages visited doesn’t have to be unique, i.e. if a user visited ProductA, ProductB, then ProductA again, that can be counted as 3

math – Calculate Bitcoin Profit Price for a given percentage

I am trying to work out a formula that given the BuyPrice, FeeRate and ProfitPercentage – will give me the Sell price.

I have been using this question to get the break even formula but I don’t know how to extend it to apply a percentage gain.

data – Store percentage values as percentage or number when used for calculations

Hi we have case where the user types in a number as percentage (75%), then it is stored in a database. Then used for calculations later. So you can store it as it was written as 75% or as the number 0.75 and only when presented in a GUI transform back to percentage. Or you need to divide it in calculations part of the code if you store it as it was written. I’m thinking store it as 0.75 since then you will not get wrong calculations, but the view model has to transform back to 75%

Since the data is going to be use in many teams it good to make a guideline to how to we store percentage number, so everyone in the organization knows that if you get a percentage value in the database it is stored as 0.75 or 75%.

So the question is what is best practice store a value (in a database etc) like 75% or 0.75?
