root access – Can I use apps like LADB WiFi ADB or Wi-Fi Debugging without needing a USB cable ever during the process?

I have an old Android tablet that had been rooted but my phone hasn’t been rooted….yet.
What I need to understand is if there’s a way to use my tablet to perform edits on my phone without EVER needing a USB cable to do so.
LADB requires Android 11 it seems but my phone (Moto E 2020) isn’t eligible for any system upgrades and as I mentioned above, the phone isn’t rooted. I’ve already downloaded apks like TWRP, LADB, Wireless Debugging and I’ve already enabled adb in the dev options.
So is it possible to connect to the phone using the tablet?

usa – Can I re-enter the US by air without needing a Covid test if I’ve had the vaccine?

Currently, no.

You can see the requirements on the site American Airlines has arranged. A negative test result is still required.

The CDC’s site directly addresses this issue:

What if I have had a COVID-19 vaccine or have tested positive for antibodies? Do I still need a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19?

Yes, at this time all air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination or antibody status, are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

Given the variety of vaccines available around the world, uncertainty about their effectiveness in preventing transmission, the difficulties around various proposed “vaccine passport” schemes, uncertainty about vaccine efficacy and protection against variants, and so on, it wouldn’t surprise me if this remained the case for some time.

customization – Needing help to find a Custom ROM

I’ve had my “Moto G8 Power Lite” for a few months, and I am craving to customise. But I cant find any custom ROMs, even after hours of searching.

I found this – Where can I find stock or custom ROMs for my Android device?, (and others)
But none of the linked websites have my device.
If anyone can help, I would be extremely grateful.

I like the idea of “Pixel Experience” AND “POSP ROM” –

Device info

Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite (XT2055-1)

Apparently the codename is “Blackjack“.

Custom ROM must be at least android 9, though I currently have android 10

I will be extremely grateful for any help.

security – How can I mitigate needing to change hundreds of Google passwords?

Google Chrome has been telling me about a security breach where passwords have been stolen from many websites and it’s telling me which of my saved passwords are at risk and that I should change them. That’s all good and well, but there are hundreds of them and it would take days of work to change them all manually (or delete the accounts). I made sure to change my passwords for sensitive accounts like ones that have to do with money, etc. but that’s not enough for Google.

I’ve heard that you should always keep passwords secure even if it’s a password for an account that a hacker couldn’t possibly do anything harmful with. As I understand it, the reasoning behind that idea is that people reuse passwords so getting a password for a harmless account could give someone access to more serious accounts. But that’s taken care of already, because all my serious accounts have unique passwords.

Google password settings

If it’s okay to leave some unimportant accounts unsecured, is there a way to flag those passwords as “safe” so that Google won’t keep bothering me to change the passwords? Alternatively, if there’s some reason I haven’t thought of that even low-impact accounts need to be secure than is there a way to automate the process of changing the passwords on hundreds of different websites?

Please note that I have been using unique passwords for new accounts for years now. The problem applies to old accounts, which each need to be managed manually. Switching from Google Chrome to a different password manager would not help because the problem is in the compromised accounts and not the password manager.

Any price comparison for car rental that send alerts when price drop at a certain amount set by user, without needing a reservation?

Do you know Any price comparison sites for car rental that send alerts when price drop at a certain amount set by user, so not just cents change or 5%, without needing a reservation to receive alerts?

Ideally would be to receive alerts for a destination when price per day, for a week long rental, reach X amount, without having to set the 100 alerts with different dates.

Don’t tell me Autoslash.

c# – Restsharp JSON Body Needing Brackets

The api I am interacting with is refusing to accept the body formatted this way:

{"op": "replace","path": "/PCF_AVALARAT","value": "DM040100"}

It is requiring it to be wrapped with brackets like this:

({"op": "replace","path": "/PCF_AVALARAT","value": "DM040100"})

For the life of me, I can’t get my C# Restsharp code to add those wrapping brackets to the body.

Current version of my code:

Dictionary<string, string> values = new Dictionary<string, string>();
values.Add("op", "add");
values.Add("path", "/PCF_AVALARAT");
values.Add("value", ATC);

docker – Rancher server UI unavailable (newie needing help)

First off, as the title says, in regards to Rancher I am a total newbie w/ very little understanding of the product. Second, if my issue has already resolved and posted on here elsewhere, please accept my apologies. I spent 4 hours on Google trying to find an answer w/ zero luck.

I have a Rancher environment that I “inherited” from an engineer who is no longer w/ the company and who didn’t document anything concerning this environment. The environment has been running for over a year and as of last week I was able to access Rancher via the UI using Firefox. Today I went to login and when I go to the web page, I get “Secure Connection Failed”.

I’ve done some preliminary troubleshooting (again, I’m a newbie to Rancher/Docker/K8) and there are several issues I’ve found but not sure if they are inter-related or how to dig deeper.

  1. When restarting the rancher/rancher container, the mapped ports appear for about 90 seconds and then disappear and are no longer mapped. The container appears to be in a continuous restart loop.
  2. When looking at the logs for the rancher container, there is a error about an expired certificate but I can’t find anything on how to regenerate the cert outside of the Rancher UI.

Here is the error message from the rancher container logs:

starting tls server: Get https://localhost:6444/apis/ x509: certificate has expired or is not yet valid

Anybody have any ideas of where I can start to get answers on how to resolve this issue? This is a production environment and I need to get the UI working again so I can continue with my reverse engineering of the workloads, etc.

terminal – Is there a way to pipe the `hdiutil create` into a raw stream without needing to first wait for it to complete?

I would like to do something like

hdiutil create dest_file.dmg -srcdevice /dev/disk3 | curl -TX - PUT
    -H "Authorization: Token"
    --output /dev/null

so that I do not need to wait for dest_file.dmg to be created first in order to upload. Is there an option to stream the file and upload using hdiutil create?
