partitioning – MSI GE66 – Grub menu not showing after install (dual boot)

just installed kubuntu 20.04 on my MSI GE66 Raider laptop with dual boot.

The bootloades should be installed in:

/dev/nvme0n1

Other available options are:

/dev/nvme01p3
/dev/nvme01p4
/dev/nvme01p6

The installation process goes on without any error and it seems it is installing the GRUB in the right partition but as I reboot my machine, it goes straight in Windows 10.

What can I do to fix this?

I have already disabled Secure Boot.

Thanks
Fabio

boot – MSI Bravo 17 and Linux compatibility

After received my new laptop bought to code under linux Ubuntu, i discovered that this product based on AMD Ryzen 4800H (Navi 14 Mobile) VEGA 10 with Radeon RX 5500M is unable to work with ubuntu !

I am totally disappointed cause i bought it to work on linux but all my tries with the forllowing distributions failed :

  • ubuntu 20.04 desktop stucks on black screen after installation reboot.
  • Linux Mint works with nomodeset but a permanent banner indicating me missing graphic accelerator push me to try AMD Radeon software for Ubuntu 20.04 – since installation – i completely lost any shell command.

Only Windows works, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Please help if you have any ideas

magento2 – I have to disable the MSI and enable the usual qty field only in the magento 2.3.5 version

I have to disable the MSI and enable the usual qty field only in the Magento 2.3.5 version

https://www.rakeshjesadiya.com/disable-sources-in-multi-source-inventory-magento-2/

I tried to use the modules listed on this blog, via the composer. It removes the modules but I am still not getting the usual qty and advance inventory fields in the product form.

I also tried some limited modules which were installed during the magento installation, and not required.
but it still didn’t worked.
the list of those modules is below, in the post.
so I just wanted to know, what is that which I am missing here, and if there is any solution which someone has tried ??

SD card – Import corrupt photos into Shotwell in MSI Modern 14 (Ubuntu 19.10, 20.04)

So here goes the problem: while using SanDisk micro SD (64gb exFat formatted), every import in Shotwell is fine. But, when I switch to the 32gb SanDisk SD card, all the photos I try to import are corrupted (parts of the photos are changed, gray / green areas, etc.).
What I tried to do is see if other computers would do the same, and it turns out that only MSI does it with SD card: HP Pavilion on Ubuntu 20.04 works great, MacBook Pro 2014 reads all the photos from SD card well, HP ProBook on Windows 10 Pro reads it well too.
I tried to format it several times, with different settings: MSI still doesn't do a clear import. Even after I tried to upgrade to 20.04 (which is another story due to iwlwifi issue), the issue is the same.
If someone had the same problem, what was the way to fix it?

msi: 65cae9.msp installation file missing in SQL Server 2014 SP3

I can't install SQL Server 2014 SP3 UC or SP4 on the server because the file is missing 65cae9.msp.
I'm trying to reinstall SP3, it worked. I am looking for the 65cae9.msp file on the installation media for SP1 and SP2, no chance.

I found this file name with the process monitor.

Log file:

magento2 – MAGENTO 2: HOW TO DEACTIVATE MSI in MAGENTO 2.3.0

Many of the magento developers want to know how to disable the MSI inventory module from there settings. Please note that the MSI module has been recently introduced since version 2.3.0. One can read the following article about it.

https://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.3/inventory/

But today we will see how to disable this inventory module in Magento version 2.3.0. This can be done in the following ways:

NOTE: The modules ** https://devdocs.magento.com/extensions/inventory-management/ ** since the modules may differ in the different versions of magento2. Check them in your existing / etc / config.php application and disable them accordingly. I have disabled modules according to version 2.3.0 of magento

  1. Using the Magento2 module disable command.

magento2.3 – Assign inventory by customer group with MSI?

We have a site with B2C clients and B2B clients. Each one's inventory came for different warehouses. Therefore, the requirement is that the B2C customer only look at and buy the stock products in B2C Inventory and the B2B customer only look at and buy the stock products in B2B Inventory.

So I see with MSI that you can create different sources and stocks and assign products to these. However, I don't see any configuration in production, source or stock that allows me to restrict inventory by customers.

Is there something by default in Magento that allows me to do something like this?

magento2.3 – Magento 2.3.3 MSI: Is there a way to remove products from search results or catalog pages when your salable_qty is going to

This is the scenario:

quantity = 2
there is a reserve for the product with quantity -2
salable_qty = 0

The product is still displayed in search results and category pages, but you cannot add it to your cart. This is a bad customer experience, as the user will have to click on the product to see that the product is out of stock or click Add to cart to see the notification.
