And then I fresh installed
During brew installation, there was one problem due to unstable network. But after I re-ran it two more times, it’s installed successfully. (it said so).
But, I found out it didn’t have
homebrew/cask tap. Is that correct?
The reason why I think it might not be correct because I can not info any cask package.
% brew tap homebrew/core % brew info firefox Error: No available formula or cask with the name "firefox". ==> Searching for a previously deleted formula (in the last month)... Error: No previously deleted formula found.

I have been working on this problem now for a solid day and would really appreciate some help!
I am attempting to dual-boot Ubuntu 20.04 on an existing Windows installation. The Ubuntu install works on nouveau drivers, but upon installing nvidia-drivers-460 the boot-up hangs on the motherboard manufacturer screen. All hardware works on the Windows install so it’s certainly a software problem.
What I’ve done:
Picture of where recovery mode hangs attached. Any help is seriously appreciated!

Mad Genius has been developing some new offers in the lab and now they’re ready to share them with our readers!
We saw Mad Genius most recently back on November 17, 2020. They’ve returned with some new nodes, new SSDs, and new offers for you. These are high-bandwidth offers, with 3TB of transfer per VPS.
They’ve been around since 1998 – that’s longer than some of our readers! – and have a wide range of services. I love their web site because it’s fun and really emphasizes their branding.
Here’s a little about Mad Genius in their own words:
“Madgenius.com, is a locally owned and operated full service hosting provider in the Minneapolis area that has been in business since 1998. We are dedicated to providing web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, networking and managed Internet services at the right price to residents and businesses. We are open to accept numerous forms of payments!
We recently added a bunch of new VPS nodes as SSD’s, hoping to get get customers on them at a steep discount!”

I had the same issue upgrading from 2.2.9 to 2.4.2. The issue also appears on a fresh install of 2.4.2 open source.
Fixed this by issuing the following SQL statement
"insert into core_config_data (config_id, scope, scope_id, path, value) values (null, 'default', 0, 'dev/static/sign', 0);" n98-magerun2.phar setup:upgrade; n98-magerun2.phar setup:di:compile; n98-magerun2.phar setup:static-content:deploy en_US en_AU -f
I have never had any issues with fresh install of magento before 2.4.1.
I have a new Linux VM machine (Ubuntu server 18.04).
Installed PHP 7.4 , Apache and Mysql from this link Installation of
PHP, MYSQL and APACHE
Installed Elastic search
Created composer project using this command
composer create-project --repository-url=https://repo.magento.com/ magento/project-enterprise-edition=2.3.2-p1 <install-directory-name>
Added sample data using
php binmagento sampledata:deploy
Installed magento using following command
php bin/magento setup:install --base-url=http://localhost/me242 --backend-frontname=admin --db-host=localhost --db-name=me242 --db-user=root --db-password='dbpas' --admin-firstname=firstname --admin-lastname=lastname --firstname.lastname@example.org --admin-user=user --admin-password='passs!' --language=en_US --currency=USD --timezone=America/Los_Angeles --use-rewrites=1 --search-engine=elasticsearch7 --elasticsearch-host=localhost --elasticsearch-port=9200
This has worked for me fine up until 2.4.1. I am trying all possible ways to get it up and running 2.4.2 version but getting 404 error right away.

Can someone help me troubleshoot this in right direction.

Got a new fresh laptop
Acer Swift 3 (AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 3500U) without OS installed (in the boot manager I got only UEFI_SHELL).
Tried to install Ubuntu, but ended up with this. Then, I have tried to install another linux distro – Manjaro with bootable USB stick and got
Security Boot Fail error. Then I tried to launch Windows 10 installation (created bootable USB stick with their MediaCreationTool20H2) and found out that it loads successfully (I didn’t try to install it)!
Both Ubuntu and Manjaro from the same stick can be booted successfully on another laptop
Fujitsu lifebook E 754. Security boot is disabled, rufus settings: partition scheme GPT, target system: UEFI (non CSM).
