Lightroom: can you export the ‘picked’ flag to another software? Alternatively, can you add a keyword based on the picked flag?

Ideally you would write the Lightroom metadata to sidecar XMP files and use those to import all metadata into another non-Adobe application.
Unfortunately pick/reject flags are one of the those things that are stored in the catalog only and are not written to XMP1,2.

Therefore your proposed solution of using keyword seems to be the best option.

To do so, you need to first find all your images with a picked flag:

  1. Go to the Library module
  2. In the top, click on Attribute in the Library Filter:

enter image description here
3. Press the white flag to show only picked photos.

Now you need to assign a keyword of your choice to all these photos:

  1. In the Library module select all photos that are shown while the Library Filter set in the previous steps is active
  2. In the Keywording panel on the right add the keyword of your choice (I chose picked in this example):

  1. While the photos are still selected, make sure that the metadata (i.e. the keyword) is written to the (sidecar XMP) files by going to the menu item MetadataSave Metadata to Files

export – Exporting string with newline and tab symbols to LaTeX

We have a string that has “tab” symbol between letters “B” and “C” and “newline” symbol between letters “C” and “D”:

Input:

"A BtCnD"

Output:

enter image description here

The output is formatted accordingly to special symbols used.

But when I export the same string to LaTeX, the special symbols n and t are interpreted literally like so:

Input:

ExportString["A btcnd", "TeXFragment"]

Output:

[text{A b$backslash $tc$backslash $newlined}]

If you put this Latex code into some TeX file the document will display literally “A BtCnD” and without “tab” and “newline” symbols.

How to tell the Mathematica to export the special symbols into LaTeX accordingly?

python – Create 5k unique users & passwords, export to sql

I’m trying to learn python on my own for a work proof of concept. I’d like to use python to create around 5k unique users and passwords, then export them to mysql. The goal is to show the difference in time from querying a database from a web login vs implementing a caching later in front of the DB using Redis or Memcached as a session store type of use case.

After some research, I found the crypt python library which can be used to create the password, but I’ve not had much success implementing this as my programming knowledge is abhorrent. If I’m going about it the wrong way, or if you all could help point me in the right direction, I’d be extremely grateful.

How can I export MIUI notes?

I’m using a Xiaomi RedMi 3S phone, whose MIUI environment includes a "Notes" app.

The app itself does not have an export feature. Can I somehow locate/extract the note data into text files, or some other readable format?

How do I save export defaults in iMovie?

When working on a movie in iMovie, I often export many final versions of it, using the File > Share > File… option. On the dialog that appears, the Description, Tag, Resolution, etc options are always system defaults. I need to edit these every time I export. Is there a way to save my export preferences so I do not have to repeatedly key them in?

photoshop – Why do my colours completely fade when I merge layers or export to jpeg?

I’ve been working on a colourful image but when I export it to jpeg, the colours are almost gone. Sure, I understand saving in jpeg can lead to change in colour but.. this is the most massive loss of saturation I’ve seen. The same thing happens if I merge down as well.

This is what my layers look like

enter image description here

Am I missing something obvious?

The difference:

left is the file still in PS and right is my jpeg

The purple colour especially seems to not appear. I feel like I’m missing something obvious. Am i working in the wrong colour space?

How can I get the colours to pop in my export files?

Customizing System Export

I’m trying to add some new fields/attributes to "Customers Main File" in the export settings to CSV. I’ve seen a free module that does something similar but for products only. https://bsscommerce.com/magento-2-custom-product-attribute-export-extension.html

Can anybody help me get started or point me in the direction to get started with a good tutorial?

$profile->run();
$recordCount = 0;
?>

export – Exporting photo – Photography Stack Exchange

I used the custom feature in the print area in lightroom. I put three photos in one page. I want to know how to save my photo and export it to my desk top. I don’t want to print it using my printer.

When I tried to export it, I only exported one of the three photos.
