wallet recovery – Is it safe to store seed phrases (private keys) in a bank vault?

The best thing to do is use a secure passphrase in addition to your 12/24 word phrase, and keep the passphrase in a separate location, or even no location at all but your head and maybe share it with one or more family members.

Using BIP-39, the same 24-words with a different passphrase will create completely disjoint wallets which cannot be linked by outside observation. You can keep reusing the same words and have different wallets by using different passphrases. Make sure passphrases are a reasonable length and complexity and not dictionary words or birthdays. However, brute-forcing these is difficult because PBKDF2 is used for hashing, so you don’t need to go overboard and use a passphrase you might forget.

It might be a good idea to include a small amount of bitcoin in the wallet using your 24 words, but with no passphrase. This can serve as a ‘decoy’ wallet, which can be monitored for activity to discover if your 24-words have been compromised. It also serves to allow plausible deniability to the amount of bitcoin you own, because if you are under duress from a person (the State for example) trying to force the information out of you, they cannot possibly know how many wallets are created from the same 24 words. You can plausibly claim that what is in the decoy wallet is all the bitcoin you own.

Since both the 24-word phrase and your passphrase are necessary to access your funds, the security of the 24-word phrase is not as paramount as without the passphrase. You should keep a copy on a steel plate to resist natural disasters, and keep a written paper copy in another location which is more accessible to you, but which can be safely disposed of with fire.

visas – What is the best way to travel to the West Bank?

I’m interested in taking a recreational trip to the West Bank with my mother and sibling to visit family. My situation is a little particular, so please inform me of any nuances to keep in mind as I am planning. I am interested in the following:

  • Which airport to travel to (Tel Aviv vs Amman), and if I’m even allowed through Tel Aviv (see details below)
  • Logistics of border crossings, and whether or not any part of the process can be expedited (again, see below)
  • Any pre-arrival work that can be done (visa request, document verification) to smooth things out
  • How to deal with carrying technology (will be carrying work computers).
  • Coronavirus restrictions

Me, my father, and younger sibling are all American born citizens. My mother is a Palestinian which moved to the US and got her American citizenship. We have made a trip in the past, but the journey through the Jordanian border crossing proved quite difficult and came with many unexpected fees. Additionally, our entry on the Israeli side of the crossing was only allowed for ‘humanitarian reasons’ and we could have very well have our entry rejected, for the following reason.

There was some trouble because my mom’s then outdated Palestinian passport was not updated to record my parent’s marriage, so this caused a lot of complications for us. We tried getting it updated, but strenuous requirements on marriage certificates prevented us from getting it updated completely, because we didn’t have the necessary materials on hand.

Naturally, there are some things that are legal on a technicality, but prove difficult in practice (e.g., if traveling through Tel Aviv is allowed, the scenario of traveling through Israeli land and checkpoints as Palestinian-Americans proves inconsistent and can have unexpected outcomes). I suppose a call to the embassies would give the best answers to these questions, but I’m hoping seasoned travelers in this area could provide some concrete input as to the current political situation and what is not only possible as a technicality, but feasible in practice.

Bank statement requirements for student visa in Netherlands

I am a Chinese student who is going to study in Amsterdam in September. I am likely to travel from the UK, where I am currently studying.

On the website, where it asks for evidence of financial support, it mentions requiring a number of things on my sponsor’s bank statement, and ends in “email and/or website” (of the bank). I cannot get a bank statement with this – it seems like quite an odd request, I have asked some friends and most of their statements do not have either of these things on it. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this – are they strict with this or will it be okay if I submit a bank statement without this?

❕NEWS – Swedish bank says bitcoin regulation is inevitable | Proxies123.com

When it comes down to it there are many people that are hoping that bitcoin and other crypto continues on teh path that it is on now and that it continues to not be regulated and remain a decentralized currency, which is the reason that many people actually got into it in the first place. However this may not be the case in its entirety. The governor of Risbank, which is a bank in Sweden, says that regulation of bitcoin is not as a matter of if, but rather of when, saying that bitcoin won’t be able to stop this from happening. Do you agree with this?

❕NEWS – India’s Central Bank Warns Banks Against Preventing/Restricting Crypto Trading | Proxies123.com

India who has been controversial about Crypto currencies now focus more on the growth of cryptocurrency, recently the Central Bank of India sent a strict warning against banks preventing customers from exchanging fiat to cryptos, they can only carry out the usual AML/KYC requirements as directed by the Reverse Bank of India. The attention around Crypto Trading is growing massively as they are set to even have a crypto hot spot for the entire continent. This is a major win for the industry as it gains acceptance in the country.

magento2 – which controller to save the user interface component of the form in the bank?

I created a ui component, but I have no idea how to save it in the database. I know I have to pass it to the controller for it to pass to the model but I don’t know how my controller should be, here’s my code:
