dnd 5e – Is Restore Balance a visible effect?

It’s up to the DM. I would rule it is imperceptible.

The Restore Balance feature does not have much helpful flavor text to tell us what the sorcerer is doing:

Your connection to the plane of absolute order allows you to equalize chaotic moments.

There’s nothing here or in the rest of the feature description that tells us the sorcerer is doing anything outside of their own mind when they use this feature. This is why I would rule it is imperceptible, but it is also why there is plenty of room for a DM to make a different ruling.

How do I get the wallet balance from Bisq programmatically?

I have Bisq installed on Windows. Now I’m trying to fetch the current balance from PHP CLI.

I already tried to copy the bisq_BTC.wallet to a “Bisq” dir in the Bitcoin Core datadir (renamed to wallet.dat) and make it open that, but it’s apparently a completely different format.

I’ve read the manual and find not one word about any API or command-line parameters such as: bisq.exe --grab-btc-wallet-balance.

Import Balance Sheets to Google Sheets using Google Script and Alpha Vantage

I’m quite new to Scripts and coding and I’m stuck with a Balance Sheet JSON file from Alpha Vantage that I just can’t seem to get into Google Sheets in usable format.

This is the code I currently have:

I know that I have to transpose the data somehow to have it look like an actual Balance Sheet, but I have no idea how this is supposed to work.

Hope anyone can help me and I’ve given enough information about my problem.

Sudden Audio Balance Issue On 4K iMac

I am partially deaf in one ear and require the use of the accessibility feature of “Audio Balance” when using headphones and over the past 48 hours I’ve noticed a big problem with my iMac 4K.

Whenever I turn the volume up or down it’s changing the balance level with each click of the volume. So when I turn the volume up it’s moving the balance further to the right and away from the left side instead of leaving the balance level as I selected and then changing the master volume which in turn allows me to listen to audio centred at any volume.

I know it’s nothing to do with my hearing as I have the exact same balance on my MacBook Air and it is not having the same trouble of moving the balance when the volume is turned up or down.

You can see in the photos below that the balance slider is missing from the “Master Stream” section and the Master Volume is greyed out and it’s just adjusting to left/right volume, while the bottom picture is what my MacBook Air which has the balance working perfectly and leaving the balance as I selected and just adjusting the master volume while leaving the left/right volume untouched.

I have no idea how this changed, I’ve tried restarting, resetting SMC/PRAM and just this morning did a full clean install and Time Machine backup and it’s still there. Does anyone know how I can get it back to way it is on my MacBook Air.

I’ve installed no new software or anything like that the only thing I’ve done in past few days is installing the latest 11.2.1 update.

I am using the exact same headphones in both examples so I know it can’t be that. I’ve also noticed that it says “External Headphones” for the MacBook Air which is working perfectly, while the troublesome iMac 4K has the headphones listed as “Built-In Output”. Could this be contributing?

Any help is greatly appreciated as this is very annoying for someone with partial hearing loss.

Failed transaction, but my wallet shows 0 balance

I made a mistake 10 days ago when I sent some bitcoin from my wallet to another one. The problem is, because this transaction was my first one, I set the transaction fee to the bare minimum. You can guess, that I did not see my BTC since then.

According to blockchain.com, the transaction has failed, and my address has all the BTC that I wanted to sent. So far so good, but in the wallet (Atomic Wallet), my balance is near 0. I asked the support, but I didn’t get any useful information, just to wait… as I said, it happened 10 days ago.
Next, I created a new wallet in Trust Wallet, add the 12 phrase seed which I get from Atomic, hoping, that its only an Atomic bug but… Trust showed near 0 balance too.

So here is my question: how can I get back my BTC from the blockhain universe? I read something about Replace By Fee and Child Pays For Parent methods, but I’m not sure that these can help me. Or am I wrong?

Sure, if you know the addresses of your wallet, you can look it up in a Bitcoin block explorer, and find the current balance of each address. There are also wallets, like Electrum, that will use third party nodes to track your balance, but cryptographically verify everything to ensure the third party node cannot lie to you.

white balance – How to keep right color temperature if I edit photos with night light mode turned on?

“Night Light” or “redshift” or other night light color apps don’t do anything (as far as I know) to protect your eyes. Their intended function is to protect your sleep — blue light is a signal to your system to remain awake. By reducing it for an hour or so before bedtime, the theory is that you’ll find it easier to drop off to sleep promptly on hitting the pillow.

What I’d recommend in this regard is to disable your “night light” setting for photo editing, but then stop editing and turn the night light back on (or better yet, just get away from the screen, perhaps read a paper book) an hour before bed time. This will let you see the colors of your images accurately, and still protect your sleep.

dnd 5e – What balance pitfalls result from this house rule regarding levitating creatures?

Specifically. The way you have worded the ability, it works too broadly.

A creature suspended above the ground and unable to move on its own

This would for example, describe a creature under the effects of telekinesis. Even though the description of the spell clearly indicates the target is being held tight in mid air (hence restrained).

Fixing that. The particularly troublesome interactions would be any ability which easily allowed forced movement. A Genie warlock with crusher, grasp of hadar, repelling blast, and +5 modifier could move a target 5+25(crusher), +10+25(grasp), +10+25(repel), +10+25(repel) feet with their two blasts. At level 11, just repelling blast is going to be over 100 ft of forced movement (well, until it knocks them out of range of the spell anyways). I prefer yanking them toward you, then launching them 30ft up with crusher, then launching another 70 ft up with the repelling blasts ending them 100ft in the air. A spell sniper / eldritch spear warlock might be able to float a target out of their range of any attacks and slowly plink them off or just let them fall.

Even without such crazy optimization, just the crusher feat would allow you to uppercut someone in the air 30 ft (and then the person can drop concentration) to deal an extra 3d6 and knock the target prone (for advantage on follow up melee attacks).

Environmental hazards are always a concern, however with such powerful forced movement abilities, fighting within 50 feet of a pit is almost certainly going to result in a fall.

But I think most of these concerns are rather the POINT of the rule rather than a drawback. If you let people play pinball with floating targets, they can play pinball with floating targets.

I would probably instead of being a formula which favored short distance moves so much, instead make it allow any forced movement to be doubled. Simplifies it and benefits short and long forced movements a proportionately equal amount.
