Where does APK mirror get its apks?

APK mirror hosts complete split apks, containing not just the base.apk but also many languages/multiple architecture support/vr apks etc. Take for example the contents of this chrome split apk:

Android studio no instala apk en movil

Siempre cuando realizo un proyecto lo pruebo en un movil conectado por usb al ordenador y al ejecutar la compilacion en android studio me lo instala y ejecuta en mi movil.
Pues bien desde hace unas semanas me sale este error y no le instala en el movil, incluso si lo realizo a mano, es decir, coje el ejecutable y lo paso al movil y desde alli lo instalo.

Este es el error.

apk – How does deodexing work?

As far as I understand, odexed apps come in two: the “apk” and the “odex” files, both containing different information. And I understand that the odex file has crucial information that loads first and speeds up the booting process.

But I tried to deodex an odexed app with UltimateDeodexer, and it only asked me to upload the .odex file, giving me in return an .apk file. Seemed like it turned the .odex into .apk.

How does that work?? Is it missing all the information from the original .apk file? Is my resulting .apk file complete, or am I supposed to do something else afterwards?

APK Mirror update – Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange

I recently updated the google play system via APK mirror and now have the January 1, 2021 version. However some others told me that the only thing the APK mirror update does is change the date (in my case from December to January), and that Google will later send the same update for the same date, which will be the real update.

Anyone else heard anything about this? Are APK mirror updates legit the same update google sends, or it simply only changes the date and nothing else?

apk – Signature of two different apps are being compared inside the code of an app

For a particular Mobile App, I am trying to understand the client-side code of an apk by decompiling the apk using Jadx-GUI. While I was going through the code, I found out interesting code snippet (shown in the image). Signature of the existing app is being compared with that of the app named “Android”.

enter image description here
I observed this type of comparison in more than one app. I fetched the certificate details and found out that they both are different and the certificates are self-signed (they are not using Google Play Signing)

So, my question is Why the developers are comparing the signature of two different apps? Under what scenarios, this type of signature verification is useful?
