I recently tried to upgrade to ubuntu 19.04 from ubuntu 18.10, it was completed but with errors. I have removed the nvidia graphics card and I am trying to fix the installation but it was in vain.
I can't open the terminal, I think the main problems are due to problems with Python.
I can access tty, and I have tried reinstalling python packages, this does not seem to work.
I receive error messages like Without module called "lsb_release", "distro_info", "apt_pkg", etc.
I tried the following commands but now they run without error messages;
dpkg --configure -a apt-get update apt-get -f install apt-get -m install apt-get dist-upgrade apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop apt-get autoremove apt-get clean
I am not exactly sure what is broken, but if, for example, I try to add the graphics driver repository;
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa File "usr/bin/add-apt-repository"...... No module named 'softwareproperties'
If I open python3.5, lsb_release, softwareproperties, distro_info all matter well, but they are not there in python3.7, which is the system default for python3.
The terminal will open if I am in files and right click to open the terminal here, but not if I select it from the desktop or ctrl-alt-t
