I have a series of scripts that run to support projects and implementations in environments. The scripts are used to update the schema of the table and / or manipulate the data. I have created reversal scripts that undo what schemas and data scripts change. By using Visual Studio I can manually compare the schema and data between the backup versions of the tables and what is rolled back to ensure that the tables revert to what they were originally.
Is there any way we can run the schema and data by comparing the Visual Studio plans in SSMS after reverting the changes to ensure everything goes back to what it was?
Is there a better way to ensure that the schemas of tables and data have been successfully reversed? Maybe using consultations?
