I wasn’t sure where to ask this question, if someone knows if there’s a more appopriate place, let me know and I’ll delete this post.
Writing a program (in Python if possible) that automatically finds all the informations on a given list of movies. The release year, the genre and the length by searching the movie’s name on the Internet. For example if you type on Google ‘Interstellar Release Year’ the result is ’26 october 2014′. I would like to get only the year and append ‘Interstellar’ to the correct list in the program. Obviously ‘Interstellar’ is the variable, because the program will have to do it for every Movie in the list:
movies=('Interstellar', 'Kung Fu Panda', 'Mulan', 'Inception') #this would be much longer y1998=() #|These are empyt lists (again there would be more years) y2008=() #|where you append the movies names y2010=() #|from the 'movies' list after confirming y2014=() #|the release date from google for i in movies: #search the movie name on google #find the year with the lists #append in the correct list
And the same thing with the genre and the length, where you would have other empty lists and search on google for every movie.
It’s only an idea, if it’s possible and someone knows how write it in python or if you think there’s a better language for this program let me know. Thank you!
