opengl – What part of the trunk sits at the position of the eye?

In Java I create a frustum projection matrix via

Matrix.frustumM (projMatrix, 0, left, right, top bottom, near, far);

and a view matrix via

Matrix.setLookAtM (viewMatrix, 0,
0, 0, -2.5, // eye position
0, 0, 0 // search position
0, -1, 0); // address above

My question is:

What part of the frustum originates in the position of the eye? Is it the tip of the pyramid, or the center of the close plane?
