Jenkins GO run fails with git 128

Friends, I'm trying to do some go testing. Seems to be a bug with git settings in the box?

I'm running git version 1.8.3.1 before anyone asks … go to the version 1.13.1

Builds happen to me locally on my Mac and Linux … but seem to crash on Jenkins
