dell: Is this a problem with hyperthreading and suspend a design error?

I have a Dell xps 13 (9343) in ubuntu 18.04 (kernel version 4.15.0-42-generic) with BIOS version A18. I have trouble suspending / resuming, but only when the hyperlink is disabled in the BIOS and only when the battery power is being used.

I have done many different tests. There was no scenario in which the threading was disabled and the battery power was used at any point where the suspension / restart functioned correctly. In other words, suspend / resume only worked correctly with the threading disabled when the AC power was not interrupted at any time.

With hyperthreading enabled, I did not find any scenario where the suspend / resume would fail.

Is there any hope that if the core behaved differently it could remedy this?
