How do airlines proceed with respect to expenses due to flight delays?
I am entitled to a monetary compensation of € 400. Is this compensation intended to cover expenses or are expenses reimbursed separately?
I spent more than 12 additional hours at the airport, and my expenses are around € 40 (for lunch, coffee, snack, Internet + printing). All of these were incurred after the official departure time. Are these expenses reasonable?
The airline is RyanAir, and I thought about asking for coupons. However, the line was really long, and it would have taken me 1 hour or more to stand in a queue on an already horrible day.
