I tried turning off the Video Capture bleeper, but even when the volume is silent, it is output to the maximum. It seems to me that it is a simple case of coded instructions that effectively omit the chosen options, because there is a configuration to disable the sounds emitted and it does not apply.
It is similar in nature to another problem, in which the device is activated by any notification and the screen is turned off and locked after the encoded delay, regardless of any user input activity. But that is a different problem, so it is not the focus here.
To say the least, it is annoying when you try to take a video of the cat doing something fun, and the sound of the bleeper causes such a distraction that the cat forgets everything he was doing. Or if the cat is asleep and does something funny, and the sound of the bleeper wakes him up before anything can be captured.
I could block the speaker when it is about to emit the sound, but that is an old joke when television began to become popular.
Is there any reasonable way to solve this problem until the developers release a fixed version? I would prefer ways that do not involve rooting the device or modifications to the audio hardware subsystem (such as adding a switch in series with the speaker). Thank you.
