architecture – Is it logical to use Universal Links / App Links for all API responses and in-app navigation?

I’m building iOS (SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps where a majority of the app views have comparable website links already.

Example: is available on the web and the same data will be displayed on the iOS and Android apps.

If the app is installed, then that link would open via Universal Links / App Links instead of the mobile browser.

I’ve built an API that returns lists of links like etc. to the web front-end for search, discovery, navigation on the website.

Is it logical to use the same API for the iOS and Android apps where the apps keep handling{id}/{id} type URLs for in app navigation to other views / API queries, or is there another standard practice that I’m unaware of / a better design choice?
